Selecting the right bridal saree

Each woman has her own way of picking up sarees for herself. For instance, some may go by colours, some by fabric, others may go for sarees that suit their body type or depending on the designs available.
Here are some important aspects that we need to keep in mind before wedding shopping:
Plan Ahead: Start planning 2-3 months before the wedding -so that you will have the time to browse and choose the perfect saree!
Budget: Budget plays an important role when you pick silk sarees. There are many different varieties in different price ranges that are available. Therefore, to make your choices faster, it’s best to finalize a budget for your saree shopping.
Time of the event: It is very important to make sure you shop according to the time of the event. The day events lighter fabrics and shades are preferable. If you go for shades like black and brown for a day event, you might look overdressed.
Whereas, if it’s a evening/ night function ( reception or sangeet) saree s with rich look and heavy embroidery, stone work and zari work are suitable. Silk Sarees such as Banarasi Silk Sarees, Mysore Silk Sarees, Kancheepuram silk, Georgette, etc. are perfect!
Fabric:  The fabric of your saree can enhance your beauty on the special day. The choice of fabric can make you look slim or bulky accordingly. It also plays a role when it comes to comfort. Kancheepuram or wedding silks are on the heavier side, whereas silk cotton and soft silk are not too heavy and make sure you get a classy look!
Color: We would recommend going for colors such as yellow, red and pink for weddings. There are also other gorgeous colors that one can go for based on their skin tone.
Zari: The design, embellishments and work on the saree is also something that needs to be paid attention to.  If you are choosing a saree or lehenga for a sangeet, then go for designs that are not too heavy as they are comfortable. Sarees with heavy embellishments are perfect for a reception look as you won’t be moving around too much.
